Season 1 The Season of the Malignant
Blizzard has announced the first season for Diablo IV, called the Season of the Malignant. This season will introduce a number of new changes to the game, including new enemies, gear, challenges, and a Battle Pass.
New Enemies
The most notable new addition in Season 1 is the malignant enemies. These enemies are corrupted by the power of the Burning Hells, and they are much more powerful than regular enemies. Malignant enemies can spawn in any area of the game, and they will drop malignant hearts when they are defeated.
Malignant Hearts
Malignant hearts are a new type of crafting material that can be inserted into gear. When a malignant heart is inserted into gear, it gives the gear special properties. These properties can increase the damage of the gear, or they can give the gear new abilities.
Seasonal Challenges
In addition to the new enemies and gear, Season 1 will also introduce a new set of seasonal challenges for players to complete. These challenges will reward players with unique items and cosmetics. Some of the challenges include defeating a certain number of malignant enemies, or collecting a certain number of malignant hearts.
Battle Pass
Season 1 will also introduce a new Battle Pass. The Battle Pass will give players a variety of rewards as they progress through the season. These rewards include cosmetics, pets, and even new gear.
General Balance Changes
In addition to these new changes, Blizzard has also made a number of general balance changes to the game in preparation for Season 1. These changes are designed to make the game more balanced and challenging.
Fan Critics and Blizzard's response
Some critics have argued that the new changes in Diablo IV Season 1 are not enough to keep the game fresh for long. They have also argued that the Battle Pass is too grindy.
In response to these criticisms, Blizzard has said that they are committed to listening to feedback and making changes to the game as needed. They have also said that they are planning to add more content to the game in the future.
Diablo IV Season 1 has the potential to be a great addition to the game. However, Blizzard needs to address the criticisms of some critics in order to make the season a success. By adding more content, making the Battle Pass less grindy, and addressing the balance issues, Blizzard can create a season that is both fun and challenging for all players.
What do you think of the new changes coming to Diablo IV Season 1? Are you excited to see what Blizzard adds in the future?
